Tihonet Pond Fishing Derby
Join the Wankinquoah Rod and Gun Club on June 1 for its annual Tihonet Pond Fishing Derby, a great day for family fishing fun.
The Derby will be held Sunday, June 1, beginning at 4 a.m. Fishing begins at 6 a.m., and awards are at 3 p.m. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Wankinquoah Rod and Gun Club Youth Group.
“It’s a great day, whether you’re a serious fisherman or you just want to enjoy some fun with your kids,” said Roland Murphy, President of the Wankinquoah Rod and Gun Club.
The fee is $9 for adults and $1 for children age 10 and younger. The fee includes breakfast, and lunch will be available for purchase from the Tihonet Village Market. Fishing licenses are required for those age 15 and older.
