Shopping Small
This holiday season, we’re shopping small for our holiday gifts, and we hope you will too.
Small local businesses form the backbone of our region’s economy, and those entrepreneurs need us during the holiday shopping season in order to survive. As important, though, is that these local shops offer unique, thoughtful treasures that your recipients will truly value. Many are handcrafted by artisans who also own their businesses.
Stop first at Makepeace Farms – we always do – for gifts with a cranberry theme, from candles to jewelry to gourmet food items, and enjoy their world-famous Thanksgiving wrap or a home-baked muffin while you’re there.
Looking for gifts with a beachy theme? Head to Tide and True, a new gift shop in beautiful Onset.
Downtown Plymouth offers an enormous collection of gift shops. Setting the Space is your destination for home decor, 3 Daughters offers a carefully curated selection of local jewelry, and the Plimoth-Patuxet Museum Shops are the go-to for the history buff… just to name a few.
When you’ve wrapped up your shopping, you’ll need some gift cards, and you can find a unique collection at Ansel’s on County Road in Marion.
If you need some guidance, See Plymouth, the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce, and the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce all provide online listings of local shops.
